Robin van Rodeman ("we", "us") is the developer and publisher of the soundboard apps listed below on Google Play. This policy is written by us and applies to every one of those apps, which share the same backend and the same data practices.

You can use these apps without creating an account. We do not ask for your name, phone number or location, and we never sell your data.

Apps covered by this policy

This policy applies to the following apps published by Robin van Rodeman (the "App"):

What we collect

A random device identifier. On first launch the App generates a random identifier for your install and sends it with each request. It is not your name, email, phone number, advertising ID or Google account, and it is not linked to your real identity unless you choose to sign in with Google (see below). Everything described here is keyed to that identifier.

How we use information

To run the App and its community features; to send the notifications you opted into; to rank, recommend and chart sounds; to detect abuse, spam and content that breaks the rules; and to understand in aggregate which features and sounds are worth building on. We do not use it to build advertising profiles about you, and we do not sell it.

Advertising

These apps show ads through Google AdMob. AdMob may use device identifiers to serve and measure ads, governed by Google's own privacy policy. Where required, Google's consent dialog is shown before personalised ads are served, and you can reopen your choices from the App's privacy settings. Some sounds can be temporarily promoted ("boosted") by watching a rewarded ad; Google confirms that reward to our server directly, and we store only the fact that a boost was granted.

Third parties

We use the following third-party services, each governed by its own privacy policy. We do not control how these providers process data once it reaches them.

Prompts sent to these providers are sent without your device identifier or any account details — only the text of the prompt and the soundboard it belongs to.

Data retention & deletion

We keep the data above for as long as the App is installed and in use. You can delete a sound you created from within the App. To have your device identifier and everything associated with it deleted — including uploaded sounds, community activity, notification registration and any Google link — email [email protected] and we will action it within 30 days. Uninstalling the App stops all further collection; notification tokens for uninstalled devices are discarded when Google reports them as invalid.

Security

All traffic between the App and our server is encrypted with HTTPS. Our server is access-restricted and administrative endpoints require authentication. No system is perfectly secure, but we keep the amount of personal data we hold deliberately small.

Children

These apps are not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from them. If you believe a child has provided us with personal information, contact us and we will delete it.

Your rights

Depending on where you live (for example under the GDPR in the EEA/UK, or the CCPA in California) you may have the right to access, correct, export or delete the data we hold about you, and to object to certain processing. Email us at the address below and we will help. We do not sell personal information.

Changes to this policy

If we change how these apps handle data we will update this page and the "last updated" date above. Material changes will also be reflected in the store listings.
